Jr. Bridesmaid and Groomsman

So other than my sister being maid of honor the only people that have been asked to be part of our big day is the jr. bridesmaid and groomsman.  There reactions were quite different.

 Jr. Groomsman:
I asked my godson, Jacob, (will be 13 y/o at the wedding) to be a jr. groomsman and his initial response was a head shake and a quiet, "I don't think so."  ** insert panic on my part "who else could be a jr. groomsmen?" ** Then he asked what he would have to do.  We explained it and he was more comfortable with the idea and finally said yes.

Jr. Bridesmaid:
I asked my cousin Hailey (will be 12 y/o at the wedding) to be part of our big day and she was beyond ecstatic.  I should preface this with after we got engaged her parents put a ban on talking about our wedding at their house.

So on Thanksgiving day I asked her to be part of our day.  I made a picture frame that said Bridesmaid.  I wrapped it up and put a tag on it that said, " Will you be my..." and when she opened the present it said Bridesmaid.  Of course the rest of the afternoon was spent talking about wedding plans and that sometime in February we will go dress shopping for the bridesmaids dresses.  I also asked her to play piano at the wedding while we light the unity candle.  She is very excited to start practicing for that too.

My favorite comment was " This is the best Thanksgiving ever!"
